DESCRIPTION:For our January Quarterly Meeting\, Dr. Heather Evans will present “The Voices of Survivors Project.” This project is a platform for survivors of human sex trafficking or other forms of violence to express their lived experiences as survivors through photography. The photos on display come from a dissertation study conducted to directly highlight the voices of survivors and their expressed experiences\, especially after separation from the trafficker. Dr.  Evans explains: “As we seek to find the most helpful intervention\, it seems responsible to consult with and learn from our greatest teachers\, those who directly experienced this complex form of victimization.”

DESCRIPTION:Recent portrayals and depictions of the global issue human trafficking has sparked discussion across the country.  Eliminating human trafficking is a challenge that requires support from all corners of the world\, however human trafficking is much closer to home than you may think\, and can look different from how it is portrayed in popular media. \nPlease join us for a Human Trafficking Awareness Event presented by the Bucks Coalition Against Trafficking (BCAT). The event will offer an overview presentation of human trafficking\, key indicators of trafficking\, how trafficking exists here in our community and Bucks County. The presentation will be moderated by Elyse Hoekstra\, Organizer\, Bucks Coalition Against Trafficking. It will be followed by an interactive Q&A session.
