Smarter Parents, Safer Kids

This interactive workshop helps parents, caregivers, and educators learn about healthy child development and strategies to protect children from abuse. Open and honest communication is key to protecting your child, but these conversations can be tricky to navigate. Adult caregivers will learn how to tackle tough conversations with their children and some small, easy steps to take to create a safer environment. The program includes a workbook full of practical tools and guidance to empower participants to engage in strategies to keep children safe.

The goals of this program are to help caregivers:

1) Learn about typical child sexual development

2) Understand how to communicate with your child about sexual topics throughout childhood

3) Reduce the risk for childhood victimization

This is a hybrid training. Both in-person and virtual options are available. If you are coming in-person, the session will be held at NOVA’s Jamison office located at 2370 York Road Suite B1, Jamison, PA 18929.
