Trauma Informed Attachment-Based Training for Psychotherapists

ClearPath Training Center, is pleased to offer “Becoming Known: A Relational Model for Ego State/Parts Therapy” with Andrew Seubert, LMHC, NCC. This two-day workshop covers the integration of “parts” or ego state practice with a trauma-informed phase model from a highly relational perspective. The workshop has evolved from Andrew’s work as an EMDR consultant and trainer, during which Andrew realized the crucial need for ego state competence when working with trauma and dissociation (this workshop will NOT address extreme forms of dissociation, viz., DDNOS and DID). Learn the basic strategies, plus advanced work with internal conflicts and negative introjects. This training is open to clinicians with and without EMDR training.

NOVA’s Annual Candlelight Tribute for Victims of Crime

Network of Victim Assistance invites the community to join us in commemorating National Crime Victims’ Rights Week, honoring victims, their families and friends, and celebrating the successes of the victims’ rights movement. This tribute of reflection, music and survivor experiences brings all in our community together for healing and strength.

2019 William Neff Symposium

September 2000, William J. Neff, Sr., an 83 year-old man with Alzheimer’s, was residing at a local personal care home and died as a result of five broken ribs and a punctured lung. Following a two-year criminal investigation, a health care provider was charged with murder and neglect of a care-dependent person. In addition, the facility’s administrator, director of nursing, another resident assistant and a hospice nurse were criminally charged.

2019 Bucks County Conference on Crimes Against Children

The purpose of the Bucks County Conference on Crimes Against Children is to engage professionals from various fields that confront child abuse to develop and enhance their knowledge and skills in the recognition, investigation, treatment and prevention of child abuse. The conference brings national, state and local experts to Bucks County to present best practices for approaching multidisciplinary investigations. On average, this conference attracts 300 law enforcement, prosecution, child welfare, victim services, mental health, and medical professionals.

Join NOVA and the community as we remember and honor victims of crime. Participants will hear survivor stories of healing, be invited to participate in an optional time of trauma-sensitive yoga or reflection, and have the opportunity to virtually light a candle in honor of themselves, a loved one, or a community member who has been the victim of crime.

NOVA’s Virtual NO BULLying Run

NOVA’s 9th Annual NO BULLying Run will take place virtually from June 1 – June 30, and together we will collectively run, walk, stroll, or roll 19,392 miles against bullying, with each mile representing one child who will be bullied in Bucks County this year (according to statistics from PACER’s National Bullying Prevention Center). We are excited to plan another virtual event that not only helps to spread awareness and address the issues of bullying, but also helps to raise funds for NOVA’s prevention programs.

Holiday Heatwave Coat Drive

In preparation for the fall and winter seasons, NOVA is reaching out to our generous community of volunteers and supporters to help provide warm coats to our clients. We are collecting coats for both adults and children in all sizes from July 1st – 31st.
