ENCOURAGE Upstanders

Peer influence in academic settings offers significant positive effects on student learners. ENCOURAGE Upstanders Peer Education Program is a unique, age-appropriate interactive learning experience that advances empathy, kindness, inclusion, and positive relationship building.

Peer educators become classroom leaders as they use their insight to model and engage younger students in recognizing the value of becoming Upstanders in bullying situations.

Prior to elementary and middle school in-classroom presentations, NOVA trains and guides high school peer educators to construct scenarios and dramatic illustrations supporting a positive school community.
