BCAT Quarterly Community Meeting: The Truths About Trafficking

Join us for our upcoming free Quarterly Community Meeting on January 25th 5:30PM via zoom. This meeting’s topic, “The Truths about Trafficking,” will feature Jackie Goldstein, MSW, LSW, Forensic Interview Specialist for Homeland Security Investigations (Philadelphia Office). This presentation will focus on what tactics traffickers use to recruit victims and what kind of trafficking we are seeing here in Pennsylvania and Bucks County.

Please join NOVA's Training Institute for a presentation on commercial sexual exploitation of children (CSEC).  This training will review how to understand and confront CSEC in our community. Our panel of specialists will review social media use and how to start and continue discussions with your children on the dangers of online exploitation.

The silent auction will include over 100 items – featuring several unique “gardens of goods” including art, jewelry, experiences, services and much more!

All proceeds from An Evening at the Art Gallery support NOVA’s programs and services. NOVA supports, counsels, and empowers victims of sexual assault and other serious crimes in Bucks County and works to eliminate violence in society through advocacy, training, community education, and prevention programs. NOVA offers a range of support services to help victims exercise their rights in the criminal justice system and recover from the physical, emotional, and financial trauma of victimization.

Darkness to Light’s “Stewards of Children” is a two hour program that teaches adults how to prevent, recognize, and react responsibly to child sexual abuse. This training features survivors and professionals in the field to help equip participants with the tools necessary for preventing childhood sexual abuse. The training conveys a five-step approach through an audio-visual presentation and supplemental workbook for each participant. Continuing Education Credits are available for specific licensed or certified professionals.
